I’ve been steering away from beauty and fashion in my latest posts and I wanted to bring it back today with a fun little post. As much as I love beauty products my truest guilty pleasure is handbags. Make up is fun but its something you just wipe off at the end of every night. Handbags can last a lifetime! I’ve been carrying a handbag ever since I was a little girl. Handbags are something I truly admire and hope to collect one day. Everyone who know me knows I love handbags but few now just how much. I don’t just enjoy them, I admire them, read about them, study them, follow them, and pretty much obsess over them.
With that being said, handbags are a HUGE investment. So I do much more admiring than purchasing. I have never owned a “luxury” handbag myself. By no means can I afford any of the bags I admire but a little window shopping never hurt anyone, right? So today’s post is just that. I’m listing all the bags I dream about owning. Everyone has their favorite handbag designer, mine is Louis Vuitton. I admire the history behind the company. The LV monogram is simply iconic. With that being said, the bag I lust for the most is the LV Neverfull MM. Yes, I know, everyone has it but it is such a practical and versatile bag. The Damier Ebene canvas is so durable and if I could drop everything and buy a handbag right now, this would be it.
Keeping with the Louis Vuitton theme, the next bag should be a given. The LV Speedy is arguably the most iconic handbag in history. It’s unique shape is infamous. Many handbag designers try to recreate the bag but nothing comes close to the original. The bag itself is so chic and gives off the “city girl” look that I love. Every handbag fanatic knows that a Louis Vuitton Speedy will always hold its value. Not only is it a gorgeous piece, yet it’s an investment to many. In the monogram canvas especially, it is amazing to watch the bag age. There is nothing like seeing the vachetta leather patina over time.

So as silly as this may sound I call those two LV bags the “gateway” handbags of the industry. Once you have those, it opens a whole world of luxury handbags. The next handbag I’m going to mention is another famous handbag from an incredible company. Nothing says luxury like the Classic Chanel Flap Bag. The soft leather, whether its lambskin or caviar, is just gorgeous. It’s such a classy bag and comes in so many colors and sizes. If you have the opportunity to get your hands on one I absolutely would! Not only because its a fantastic bag, but because the price increase on these has not stopped rising! 
Céline is a brand owned by LVMH (the same company as Louis Vuitton). The bag that caught my eye immediately from this brand is the Mini Luggage Tote. It seems I can’t walk through an airport without seeing these everywhere! The bag design is very detailed and again, comes in so much variety. I hear these bags are very heavy though so if you’re not used to carrying a handbag I’m not sure this would be a great fit for you. This bag is just so appealing to me!
My next dream bag is the medium Antigona bag by Givenchy. I absolutely love the structure to this bag. I think it is so simple yet edgy. Givenchy is also owned by LVMH. This is a very wearable bag and can be used for multiple occasions. If you haven’t gotten the hint yet I love large bags. This one is just gorgeous! Kourtney Kardashian is pictured below with hers and I think it just pulls her whole outfit together! Love Love Love!
Finally, is it really a fantasy without a Birkin? Hermes pretty much speaks for itself. I mean people wait on lists for years for the opportunity to purchase a Birkin. Each bag is handmade by the same person from start to finish. It does not get more quality than that. The Hermes Birkin is the bag of all bags but can cost more than college tuition! But hey, a girl can dream…
I know this post was a bit different but handbags are truly an enjoyment of mine. I follow my favorite handbag blogs every day and this is a pretty common post so I figured why not give it a shot!
