Hi Beauties!
Cruelty free makeup is something many people are leaning towards now. I personally have not gone completely cruelty free (yet) but have been doing a lot of research on what brands are cruelty free and where to get them. After doing so, I found out some of my favorite products from the drugstore are cruelty free. This gave me a great blog post idea. Today I’ll be giving you guys ideas for a full face of make-up that is all cruelty free AND affordable. All of these brands can be found at your local drugstore such as Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreen’s, etc. I hope you guys find this helpful and get some inspiration!
Face
Moisturizer: Elf Daily Hydration Moisturizer
Primer: Milani Prime Perfection Face Primer
Foundation: Milani Conceal and Perfect 2 in 1 Foundation and Concealer (this runs pretty dark so consider getting a lighter shade than usual)
Concealer: HD Photo Concealer Wand* or Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer Palette (*I have two options because NYX is cruelty free but their parent company Loreal, is not.)
Setting Powder: NYX HD Setting Powder* or elf HD Setting Powder
Bronzer: Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer
Contour & Highlight: elf Contour Palette
Blush: Milani Baked Blush (my all time favorite is the shade Luminoso)
Eyes
Shadow: I picked out 3 palettes that I own and love using from the drugstore. We all love options 🙂
- elf Matte Eyeshadow Palette
- Wet n Wild Color Icon Collection Eyeshadow Set (These are my absolute favorite. I recommend ‘Comfort Zone’)
- Sonia Kashuk Eye Couture Eye Palette
Liner: Physician’s Formula Eye Booster 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum
Mascara: Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara (this stuff is amazing and like $2-3 at Walgreens!)
Lashes: Ardell Fashion Lashes
Brows: NYX Micro Brow Pencil ( I can’t find anything better than this for brows. It is a total dupe for the ABH Brow Wiz and half the price!)
Lips
All NYX Lip Products are simply amazing. From the Soft Matte Lip Cream to the Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick and even their Butter Glosses are amazing.
Another lipstick I really love at the drugstore is Wet & Wild. My favorite shade is ‘Bare It All’. So many people call this a dupe for Velvet Teddy by MAC. Not only is it much less expensive at $1.97, but it is cruelty free while MAC is not.
Brushes
This is where I find a lot of people have the most trouble with going cruelty free, especially at the drugstore. My favorite brush lines include Wet & Wild and elf Cosmetics brushes. The black brushes from elf are so soft and amazing. Both brands are so affordable so you can’t go wrong.
There you have it! A full face using cruelty free products that you can afford. It’s possible people! If you have any suggestions be sure to leave them in the comments below. Thanks for reading!
xo Rickie
