Hi friends! My cousin is getting married!! I spent the weekend in Rhode Island with her and her friends to celebrate. We had such a blast. My other cousin is the Maid-of-Honor and she put together the perfect weekend. 

For starters, she rented the most beautiful house. There were 13 girls all together and we were all able to enjoy the house without a problem. It was so spacious! We arrived on Friday, my cousin sister and I went early to decorate. She made little goody bags for everyone!

Friday we ordered pizza and stayed in for the evening. It was actually a blast. It was nice to just stay in, play games and laugh the night away. 

Saturday we made breakfast and began our day. Our first stop was Newport Vineyards where we spent the afternoon enjoying the view and some delicious wine. The vineyard was beautiful, so a photoshoot was inevitable. 

Saturday afternoon we went back to the house to recuperate before a night out. That evening we went out in Newport for dinner and drinks. We had dinner at The Landing. 

The sunset on the water was breathtaking. We spent the night out and had a great time. 

Sunday was beach day! We got breakfast at the Atlantic Grille and head to Gooseberry Beach. I couldn’t have asked for better weather. We head back home that afternoon before our second night out on the town. 

That night our group was scheduled to go out on a booze cruise. I was going to sit that one out as I get seasick. So I began wandering around town, got myself some Del’s, a glass of wine, and began reading my book. All of the sudden the sky got extremely dark and rain came falling down hard. 

Needless to say, the booze cruise was short-lived. They came back just as soon as they went out. The only difference was now everyone was in ponchos.

The rain cleared up pretty fast. We went to dinner at one of my favorite restaurants of all time, The Red Parrot. They have the best food and drinks. I got a s’mores martini that was to die for. 

Sunday night we walked around for a bit and then head home. Monday morning was another beach day! 

Overall I had a blast this weekend, we all did! It was nice to get away, see some sunshine, and celebrate an amazing woman!

Newport was the perfect getaway but now it’s back to reality.
